Field Trip Information
The Haverhill Firefighting Museum is happy to host field trips for public and private schools, parents who home school their children, and youth organizations.
From May through October, field trips can be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., or on Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The museum offers the new Children's Corner with a 12-foot wooden fire truck children can play in, fire hoses and reels, and children's firefighting gear. We also offer lessons in the history of firefighting, lessons in fire safety and fire prevention, and movies.
The cost is $5 per child and groups of 10 or more are preferred.
Advance notice is required as we have to arrange volunteers to help with the field trip.
To arrange a field trip we will need the following information:
- Name of your organization or school
- Name of the organizer/teacher for the field trip
- A phone number and/or email to contact you
- Grade level/ages of the students
- Number of students
- Subject you are studying
This information will help us better prepare our staff and the subject matter we will cover to ensure the field trip meets your needs.
